TaskerSync ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Steven Miles, an individual based in the Northern Territory, Australia. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights under Australian law and applicable international standards.

1. Who We Are
TaskerSync is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product that connects to your Google Tasks account to provide AI-powered task assistance. The service is operated by Steven Miles, Northern Territory, Australia.
This Privacy Policy applies to the TaskerSync website at taskersync.com, the TaskerSync Google Apps Script integration, and any related services or tools we provide.
2. What Data We Collect
A. Data you provide directly:
- Your name and email address when you sign up or contact us
- Payment information processed securely by Stripe (we never see or store your card details)
- Information you share during onboarding (e.g. your timezone, preferences)
B. Google user data (via OAuth authorisation):
When you connect TaskerSync to your Google account, we access the following Google user data:
- Google Tasks data - task titles, notes, due dates, and status. We read this data to process your tasks and write AI-generated responses back into your task notes.
- Google account email address - used to identify your account and match it to your TaskerSync subscription.
We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or any other Google service. Our access is strictly limited to Google Tasks and your basic account identifier.
C. Usage and technical data:
- Website analytics (via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) - pages visited, time on site, general location
- Device and browser type
- Task sync logs (timestamps, error counts) for service reliability
3. How We Use Your Data
- Providing the service - reading your Google Tasks, processing them with AI, and writing responses back into your task notes
- Account management - managing your subscription, sending onboarding and transactional emails
- Service improvement - monitoring sync reliability, identifying and fixing errors
- Security - detecting abuse, verifying authentication, protecting against unauthorised access
- Analytics - understanding how visitors use our website (aggregated, not personal-level)
- Legal obligations - complying with applicable Australian law
We do not use your Google Task data to train AI models. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. Google API Data - Limited Use Policy
TaskerSync's use of data received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We only use Google user data to provide or improve the TaskerSync service
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements
- We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless required by law or for security purposes
- Your Google Tasks data is processed in real time and is not retained beyond what is necessary to deliver responses

6. Data Retention
- Google Tasks data - processed in real time, not permanently stored by us
- Account data - retained while your subscription is active, plus 90 days after cancellation
- Payment data - retained by Stripe per their data retention policies
- Analytics data - retained by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity per their policies (typically 26 months)
7. Your Rights
Under Australian Privacy Act 1988 and applicable international standards, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Revoke Google OAuth authorisation at any time via your Google Account settings
- Cancel your subscription at any time

8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure API authentication, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure - we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously.
9. Children's Privacy
TaskerSync is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify active subscribers via email. Continued use of TaskerSync after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
